Canada warmly receives over 35 million temporary residents (non-immigrants) annually. With the exception of Canadian citizens and permanent residents, all individuals seeking entry to Canada as visitors must have permission, either through a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) or an eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization), unless they are US citizens.
