A Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) is a document issued by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) to assess the impact of hiring a foreign worker, ensuring that it won't negatively affect the Canadian job market. Employers typically need an approved LMIA to hire a foreign worker for a specific job position in Canada.

A Spousal Work Permit in Canada allows the spouse or common-law partner of a temporary resident to work in the country. It is granted based on the status of the sponsoring spouse's study or work permit.

The Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) in Canada is an open work permit for international students who have completed a qualifying program at a designated learning institution. It allows them to gain valuable Canadian work experience after graduation.
